Fortney & Weygandt participated in the 7th Annual CLE Plane Pull benefiting the Special Olympics of Ohio on Saturday in the I-X Center parking lot. Teams of 20 people had one chance to pull a Boeing 737, which weighed over 100,000 pounds, 12 feet in the fastest time. The event raised over $68,000 for the Special Olympics of Ohio.
The mission of Special Olympics of Ohio is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes, and the community.
