Fortney & Weygandt’s most defining strength that has led our success since 1978 has surely been our staff. Whether our field staff, our project management team, or our internal support members, this is a group of professionals marked by long-term stability leading to one of the most qualified and knowledgeable construction teams in the industry. Our project managers, for example, have a combined total of 178 years project management experience, which averages 20 years experience per person. The result is a company unmatched in delivering quality construction services with craftsmanship, customer satisfaction and integrity. In effect, the entire Fortney & Weygandt staff is the “A” Team. Management is committed to contributing to the accomplishment of each project undertaken. Below are some of the people who will provide the leadership to make your project successful.


Mitch Lapin, CEO

Mitch Lapin joined Mitch Lapin 2019-1Fortney & Weygandt, Inc. in 1994, starting as a Project Manager, then Vice President, President and now CEO. His responsibilities are to drive the growth of Fortney & Weygandt, Inc.’s general contracting service nationwide. Lapin will work closely with Fortney & Weygandt’s Board of Directors, Management Team and all employees to serve clients and partners on all projects.

Mitch holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Miami, Miami, Florida and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Case Western University , Cleveland, Ohio.

 

 

 

 


Bard Fulton, President

Bard Fulton VP FW
Bard Fulton joined Fortney & Weygandt, Inc. in 2001 as a Project Manager overseeing the various multi-site rollout programs and was soon leading the department. Bard led the Multi-Site Rollout Division for 19 years with responsibilities that included supervising Project Managers, evaluating bids with the Estimating Department, working with the Accounting Department on job-specific financial matters and participating in efforts to generate new business. Now as President, Bard Fulton will be responsible for continuing to drive the growth of Fortney & Weygandt, Inc.’s general contracting service nationwide. Fulton will work closely with Fortney & Weygandt’s Board of Directors, Management Team and all employees to serve clients and partners on all projects. Bard earned his Bachelors and his MBA from Kent State University and is LEED certified. 


John Monroe, Vice President of Preconstruction Services

John Monroe 2025 teamJohn Monroe serves as Vice President of Pre-Construction Services. He joined Fortney & Weygandt, Inc. in 2004 as a Project Estimator and has advanced to his current role. He oversees project take-offs and subcontractor bid preparation, submittals, and develops long-term relationships with clients and subcontractors across multiple regions nationwide.

 
 
 

 

 

John Krisanda, Director of Rollout Services

John K - team addJohn Krisanda, Director of Rollout Services, joined the Fortney & Weygandt team in 2015. In 2022 he became the Director of Rollout for regional and and national Multi-Site Programs. In this role, John is responsible for all aspects of program management implementation including logistics, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable quality control, personnel requirements and scheduling.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Petra Gut, Director of Safety

Petra team addPetra Gut, Director of Safety, joined the Fortney & Weygandt, Inc. team in 2019. As Safety Director, Petra is responsible for all aspects of workplace safety, including job site inspections, training, record keeping and reporting and, ensuring compliance with the standards of the  Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).

 

 

 

 

 

 


William Green, Business Development Manager

William - team addWilliam Green, Business Development Manager, joined the Fortney & Weygandt, Inc. team in 2025.  William drives the firm’s growth by proactively identifying and securing new national account clients. He fosters repeat business through strategic relationship management with owners, developers, and key corporate decision-makers. William also leads cross-functional collaboration with estimating and preconstruction teams to develop winning project proposals and bid responses.

 

 

 

 

 


Rachel Dupuis, Marketing Manager

Rachel

Rachel Dupuis joined Fortney & Weygandt, Inc. in 2025 as Marketing Manager, bringing over a decade of experience across the A/E/C market sectors. She leads the firm’s marketing and branding strategy and development of brand messaging, digital content, and marketing collateral that support business development efforts, strengthen brand positioning, and drive growth.
