The Fortney & Weygandt absolute commitment to safety and training is also one of our defining strengths. We are proud of our Corporate Safety Policy, implemented and enforced by our full-time Safety Director.
At Fortney & Weygandt, Safety training begins at employee orientation with continuing education, ongoing skill and safety classes, and a 10-hour OSHA Training Course for all our carpenters and trades employees. Additionally, our field superintendents are required to complete a 30-hour OSHA Training Course.
Our devotion to safety was best articulated by our founder, Bob Fortney: “No work is so important; no emergency is so great, that we cannot take the time to do our work safely.”
